Silkworm Pupae Coupled with Glucose Control pH Mediates GABA Hyperproduction by Lactobacillus hilgardii

γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a ubiquitous nonprotein amino that has multiple physiological functions and received significant attention in the pharmaceutical food industries. Although there are many GABA-producing bacteria, high cost of strain cultivation limits its additive raw material application. In our study, Lactobacillus hilgardii GZ2, novel strain, was investigated. We attempted to replace nitrogen sources with silkworm pupae, waste resource silk reeling industry, GYP complex medium. The GABA titer reached 33.2 g/L by using 10 pupae meal instead tryptone. Meanwhile, pH fermentation automatically controlled adjusting addition glucose monosodium glutamate. Finally, highest yield productivity were 229.3 3.2 g/L/h L. when replaced tryptone combined glutamate feeding. By utilizing reduce source controlling hilgardii, hyper generated for applications
